Somatic Process Groups NYC

Weekly in-person circles for women and mixed groups, designed to foster authentic connection, embodied resilience, and deeper self-awareness.

About The Groups

A dynamic and experiential space fostering deep, authentic connection with self, others, and the world around us.

The most profound training I have received was through the Radical Aliveness Institute in California. Radical Aliveness is unique in that it takes a psychological model, focused on inner and interpersonal experience and expands it to include the systemic. It works with all levels of human experience: the body, emotions, expression, movement, sensations, thoughts, beliefs, spirit, culture and systems.

This non-expert model invites participants to lead from their authenticity and truth. It is about finding inner power so it becomes easier to create a life from a place of flow, while taking responsibility for self and assisting those around us. In our groups, we honour complexity and welcome all that is present.

Joining one of our somatic process groups gives you the opportunity to engage in a unique and dynamic setting that fosters self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a stronger mind-body connection. You’ll engage relationally with others while doing your interpersonal work, building meaningful connections along the way. The supportive and playful environment encourages authentic expression and helps you break through blocks that hold you back. Together, we open to our life-force energy and stand empowered within ourselves.

Whether you’re seeking to improve your overall well-being, navigate life’s challenges with greater ease, or simply explore what is alive within you, these groups offer invaluable benefits that can profoundly enhance your growth and give you a greater sense of self.

Throughout our time together, we will also work with the Radical Aliveness Principles as part of our group agreements:

  • Cultivating a Non-Shaming Heart and Attitude – seeing goodness in ourselves and others, allowing vulnerability and deep healing.

  • Knowing I Do Not Know – holding curiosity and openness rather than judgment or assumption.

  • Welcoming Multiple Perspectives – honouring differences, even when we don’t always agree.

  • Being Willing to Be Changed – sitting in the unknown, welcoming perspectives, and allowing transformation.

  • Welcoming Everything – letting all feelings be present, learning to stay, and transforming through presence.

  • Do No Harm – taking responsibility when harm occurs and staying engaged in repair.

  • Do Your Part – showing up and continuing your personal work.

What YouWill Receive

We offer two ongoing somatic process groups in Manhattan; Passages, a women’s group, and SPARK, a new mixed-gender group created in response to growing interest. Both circles provide an experiential space to slow down, connect more deeply with yourself and others, and practice living from a more embodied and authentic place.

Each group is different in who it gathers, yet both share the same intention: to support greater awareness, resilience, and connection in a held and dynamic community setting.

By joining a somatic process group, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Recognise patterns — bring awareness to behaviours, beliefs, and ways of relating that shape your life.

  • Build confidence — work through self-limiting beliefs while strengthening trust in yourself.

  • Refine boundaries — practice articulating and upholding your needs with clarity and respect.

  • Develop relational skills — gain new tools and experiences for navigating connection and conflict.

  • Expand emotional capacity — grow your ability to be with complex feelings while staying resourced.

  • Embrace visibility — allow yourself to be seen, heard, and met authentically in community.

  • Discover purpose — explore what you desire and what brings meaning to your life.

  • Empower yourself — open to your life-force energy and cultivate a deeper sense of self-agency.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these groups open to therapists?
Yes. Many therapists join to step out of the “holder” role and be supported in their own process. The groups offer both personal growth and professional nourishment.

What’s the commitment?
Each group runs in a 12-week cycle. You commit to the cycle, with the option to extend as the group continues. This creates safety, consistency, and depth in the work.

I’m new to somatic work. Can I still join?
Absolutely. You’ll be gently introduced to the practices and group agreements. What matters most is your curiosity and willingness to engage.

How do I apply?
