1:1 Psychosomatic SEssions
A private, weekly space to come back into your body at a pace that feels safe, so you can let go of what no longer serves you and grow into the woman you choose to become.
01 - who is this for
I help high achieving women who have experienced sexual assault, left controlling relationships and communities, or lived by family, societal and cultural expectations, heal through somatic and energetic work, so they can let go of what no longer serves them and grow into the woman they choose to become.
you understand it, and now you want to feel it
You have experienced sexual assault
You may understand what happened and even have spoken about it, and still your body braces, freezes or goes somewhere else before you know why.
you left a controlling relationship, or community
You got out, and yet the vigilance, the second-guessing and the habit of making yourself smaller came with you.
THE you have lived by other people’s expectations
Family, culture or community told you who to be, and you became very good at it, so good that you are no longer sure what you want for yourself.
Women also come to me for anxiety, dissociation, questions of identity and sexuality (including within the LGBTQIA+ community), and life transitions. Whoever you are, you are welcome here.
02 - In Plain Words
What is Somatic Work
Most of us have learned to live from the neck up, thinking our way through everything. Somatic work gently brings your body back into the conversation.
What happened to you does not only live in your memory, it lives in your nervous system too, in the way you brace, hold your breath or go numb. That is why understanding it has not been enough on its own. Together we notice what your body is carrying, and give it the time and safety it needs to soften and move.
Nothing in you is wrong, and you are not here to be fixed. You are here to understand yourself more fully and reconnect with what your body already knows.
03 - what a session looks like
What to expect
You don’t need to have done anything like this before, and most women arrive not quite knowing what to expect.
60 minutes, once a week
In person in New York City or on Zoom, at a regular time that is yours, so there is a steady place to come back to.
You set the pace
You never have to share more than you want to, and nothing is asked of you that does not feel okay. We slow down before we ever push.
Touch only with your consent
Touch is sometimes part of the work. It is only ever offered with your consent, and you can change your mind at any point.
We include the body
We talk, and we also notice what is happening in your body as we go. You might sit, stand or lie down, depending on what we are working with.
“I didn’t think I would ever get over the sexual assault that had happened to me. Your presence and ability to attune yourself to me, reassure me that we always go at my pace (which we did), and the validation that you gave was exactly what I needed. Thank you for helping me find safety within me, I think for the first time ever. I feel confident again, grounded in who I am. I can say ‘no’ with much more ease now.”

04 - How we begin
three gentle steps
01
A complimentary Call
Thirty minutes to get a feel for each other, ask anything you like, and see whether we are a good fit. No pressure and nothing to prepare.
02
The first few sessions
We begin with three to five sessions, so you can get a feel for the work before committing to more.
03
choosing to continue
After those first sessions, we look back together at how it feels and decide whether we want continue. From there it stays collaborative, and we keep checking in on what you need as the work unfolds.
05 - The Investment
FOr As long as you choose
There is no program to sign up to and no set number of sessions. We meet weekly, and you decide how long we work together. Some women stay for a few months, and others choose to continue for longer as the work deepens.
I also keep a small number of sliding-scale places. If cost is a consideration, tell me what feels affordable and we can see what might work.

06 - Questions
Before you Begin
-
No, you never have to. Some women want to say it out loud and others would rather feel safe first, perhaps without ever going into the details, and both are completely welcome. We go at the pace your body sets, not the pace of the story.
-
Yes, in many ways it is. The work itself is very close to what people call somatic therapy, but the title I use is psychosomatic practitioner. I hold an MSc in Psychology and I’m a Certified Core Energetics Practitioner, with training in somatic work, meditation and energy healing.
-
Most women haven’t, and that is completely okay. You don’t need to know what to do or how to feel. I will guide you, and we will go slowly.
-
Yes. I see clients in person in New York City, or on Zoom wherever you are, and the work translates beautifully online because your body is with you wherever you are.
-
Then you fall apart in a space that can hold it. Coming undone is not a problem to be managed here, it is often the thing that has been waiting. We work at a pace your nervous system can hold
-
No. My practice is private pay only, so I don’t work with insurance companies and I’m not an in-network or out-of-network provider. Sessions are paid directly to me, and if cost is a consideration, please ask about my sliding-scale places.
