What is a 4 Pillar Eastern Astrology birth chart reading?
In Eastern astrology, also known as Bazi or Chinese astrology, the hour, day, month and year you were born are each read as a pillar, and each pillar holds an animal sign and an element. Unlike Western astrology, your chart is fixed: it is set the moment you are born and never changes, so it becomes a map you can return to for life.
I read it for self-understanding, never prediction. It doesn't tell you who to be or what will happen, but it often puts words to things you have always half known about yourself, and that recognition can be a real relief.
The five elements, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water, move in a cycle that runs through every part of life, from the rhythm of your day to your relationships and your work. Every chart holds both balance and imbalance, which helps explain why some things come easily and others take so much effort.
The heart of the reading is restoring balance. Your chart doesn't change, but how you live with it can, so together we find simple things to bring into your day, such as living green plants, meditating in the sun, or wearing more cool blues, to support what you need more of and help you do what you want to do with more ease.
Women often come at a turning point, a big decision, something new, or a pattern that keeps repeating. You don't need to believe in astrology to find it meaningful, and many arrive curious or a little skeptical and leave with a new way of seeing themselves.

Your date, time and place of birth, or your business’s founding date if you would like your business chart read instead. If you don’t know your birth time, just let me know, as there are ways I can work around it.
I prepare your chart
Before we meet, I spend around two hours mapping your four pillars and the balance of your elements, so our time together can go straight into what matters.
You receive your Report
You receive a PDF report of around 13 to 15 pages, with everything we covered and practical tools to work with what we discovered.
We meet for your reading
We spend one and a half to two hours together, online or in person in New York City, with plenty of room for your questions. I begin by grounding with you, then we move through each area of your chart together.

Western astrology is built on the positions of the sun, moon and planets, and much of a reading follows how they keep moving over time. 4 Pillar, or Bazi, comes from Chinese tradition and is based on the hour, day, month and year you were born, so your chart stays the same for your whole life. The only part that changes is the year we are in. I look at the energy of the current year and how it meets your own, which can help explain why some years feel easier or harder than others.

Yes. I can read the chart for the date your business was founded, which can be a revealing way to understand its rhythms and natural strengths. If you would like your own chart read as well, I can bring the two together, and read them the way I would read a relationship. You see how your energy as a business owner meets the energy of your business, where you naturally support each other, where there may be friction, and how to work with both. Reading both charts together is a two and a half to three hour session, and is $1,200.

I have a 72 hour cancellation policy. Because I prepare your chart before we meet, readings cancelled within 72 hours are still charged, and we can look for a new time to reschedule.
